Noche Latina will be held on Fri., Sept. 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Petersen Barn Community Center, located at 870 Berntzen Rd. There will be a free dinner, games, crafts and live entertainment. Dinner will be served until 6:30 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 2: FIESTA CULTURAL

Fiesta Cultural will be held on Fri., Sept. 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Broadway Plaza/Kesey Square, located at 10 E. Broadway. Fiesta Cultural will kick off a month-long series of events celebrating Latino art and culture at Lane County’s four major art walks. Families will enjoy live music, Latino art, food and crafts.

SEPTEMBER 3: FIRST SATURDAY PARK WALK

Explore Eugene’s parks with naturalists from the River House Outdoor Program. The First Saturday Park Walk will take place on Sat., Sept. 3 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Steward Pond Overlook, located at Bertelsen Rd. and Stewart Rd. (GPS coordinates: 44.050589, -123.154903). This interpretive walk is open to people of all ages.

SEPTEMBER 3: HOME DEPOT KIDS WORKSHOP

The Home Depot offers a Free Kids Workshop the first Saturday of each month. The Kids Workshop will take place Sat., Sept. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. Kids will create a back to school white board. Register online for the workshop.

SEPTEMBER 3: SEEDLINGS GARDEN CLUB FOR KIDS

Kids and families are invited to the Materials Exchange Center for Community Arts (MECCA) every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make a creative reuse project. From magnetic puzzles to robot rockets to sock creatures, there’s always a fun, all-ages craft project for kids and families each Saturday. There is no need to preregister, and all materials are included for each workshop. A $3 to $5 sliding scale donation is requested per child. Children under 10 years should be accompanied by an adult. SEPTEMBER 4: ALTON BAKER PARK CLEANUP

Nearby Nature will host a Park Cleanup event on Sat., Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at Alton Baker Park, located at 100 Day Island Rd. Spend a morning giving back sprucing up this park. Nearby Nature will share information about the native species and natural history of this special area. Gloves, trash grabbers, bags and snacks will be provided for this cleanup. SEPTEMBER 7: FAMILIES CONNECTED GET AIR DAY

Families Connected will host a Get Air Day every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 6 pm. at 4211 W. 11th Ave. in Eugene. Parents will have a chance to connect while children play. Parents must remain on site while their children play. The cost is $5 per child and includes Get Air socks for first time visitors. If parents bring personal support workers (PSWs) to help supervise children, the PSWs can jump for free. All participants (adults and children) must complete a waiver that can be found on the Get Air website prior to jumping. The theme is “Stuffies Sleepytime.” Kids will enjoy stories and songs in their pajamas, and they may bring teddy bears and other stuffed animals. Families Connected will host a Get Air Day every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 6 pm. at 4211 W. 11th Ave. in Eugene. Parents will have a chance to connect while children play. Parents must remain on site while their children play. The cost is $5 per child and includes Get Air socks for first time visitors. If parents bring personal support workers (PSWs) to help supervise children, the PSWs can jump for free. All participants (adults and children) must complete a waiver that can be found on the Get Air website prior to jumping. Lane County Master Gardeners will host a Fall Gardening Festival on Sat., Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the River Road Park and Recreation District, located at 1400 Lake Dr. in Eugene. SEPTEMBER 24: KIDS SATURDAY WORKSHOP AT MECCA

Kids and families are invited to the Materials Exchange Center for Community Arts (MECCA) every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make a creative reuse project. From magnetic puzzles to robot rockets to sock creatures, there’s always a fun, all-ages craft project for kids and families each Saturday. There is no need to preregister, and all materials are included for each workshop. A $3 to $5 sliding scale donation is requested per child. Children under 10 years should be accompanied by an adult. Eugene Sunday Streets will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 25 in the South University Neighborhood (Amazon Park, University Park and Washburne Park). The city will close streets, allowing people to walk, bike and roll in a safe, car-free environment. There will be live music, food carts, vendors and activity booths at this free family event.
